Every year, in the afternoon before Travel Weekly’s Globe Travel Awards takes place, Celebrity Cruises hold their Travel Agent Appreciation Awards.
It’s a prestigious afternoon affair, in a fabulous venue, and this year it was at the iconic Gherkin in London! The awards are granted in honour of the top agents’ contributions, which over the previous 12 months directly influenced the company’s success.
Presiding over events, for the very last time before leaving the role in June, was managing director and vice president of Europe, Middle East and Asia, Jo Rzymowska.
2022 was an incredible year for Celebrity with the launch of the industry-leading Celebrity Beyond in the UK, and the news that a stunning Edge-Series ship, Celebrity Apex, will be home-porting in Southampton from 2024.
These achievements are testament to the brand’s confidence in the UK market, owing to the incredible support of our travel partners.
We’re also particularly encouraged by the strong start we are seeing to wave already, and remain positive for a great year ahead in 2023.
The Travel Agent Appreciation Awards are our opportunity to say thank you to our hugely valued travel agent community, as we simply couldn’t do it without them.
Over 70 representatives from UK travel agencies attended, and just 8 awards were given out. Six of the eight awards were for agencies that have gone “Above & Beyond”, and Sales Director for the UK & Ireland, Claire Stirrup, announced the winners at the ceremony, including:
