Phil Nuttall Awarded ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry’ 2022
Last week saw the Travel Weekly’s Agent Achievement Awards in association with Virgin Atlantic take place in London’s Park Plaza Westminster Hotel. Hosted by Vernon Kay, there were over 600 people in attendance from the world of travel to celebrate such an incredible industry.
One of those in attendance, was The Travel Village Group’s CEO Phil Nuttall. Phil has dedicated his life to the travel industry, pioneering The Travel Village to what it has become today and all the successes that come with it. In recognition of Phil’s achievements we are delighted and honoured to announce that Phil Nuttall has been awarded Outstanding Contribution to Travel!
The latest edition of Travel Weekly commemorates Phil and his achievements in stating:
Nuttall also started on the frontline, working for the family business he now runs. He was praised not just for his business performance, but also for his support of the wider trade.
Speaking after winning the award, Phil said:
This award means the world to me. I am so honoured. Travel is all I have ever wanted to do since stamping brochures for my grandad’s business. When I started in the business I was paid 10p for every 100 brochures I stamped and I used to read them all. I never did that well at school because I knew what I wanted to do. I could not have done it without my wife Paula. She has supported me enormously throughout.
Phil has continued on the legacy of The Travel Village Group which is now a fourth-generation family led business that is professionally driven and community-focused. It is clear that quality service and care lies at the heart of The Travel Village Group as implemented through Phil, with his care, passion and overall love for the travel industry and those who work in it exemplified throughout every aspect of his business and its operations. We are incredibly honoured to have Phil leading The Travel Village Group and know that with this award, the sky is not the limit and cannot wait to see what further contributions and care he brings to both us as a business and to the wider travel community.
Did you know?
This isn’t the first time Phil has won an award for his contribution to the travel industry? In fact, it was only in March 2022 that Phil also picked up the same award at the TTG [Travel Trade Gazette] Top 50 Travel Agencies 2022 awards!
Massive congratulations to you Phil!
