Opportunity Knocks For Travel Village Group Sales In January Peaks Advent

During January Peaks it’s a battle to get your sales message heard, so TVG came up with an idea that benefits everyone. At our 2023 Conference in Cyprus, we invited our business owners, travel specialists and back office teams to look for when Opportunity Knocks. This invite also extended to our travel partners.

We’re eager to work with tour operators to be able to get relevant, and new, information to our sales frontline. In Peaks it can be almost impossible to get your sales message to be heard above all others. And that’s why we rolled out a January Advent Calendar style training incentive.

Watch & Learn

Using our internal Facebook groups we have created an opportunity for everyone to “watch & learn”. Our Tour Operator partners record a 90-second video to get their sales messages across, and we release one every day. To ensure as much engagement as possible, from every avenue across the business, an incentive is in place. Each day our tour operator partners ask a question, and the answer will be within the video. All correct answers are placed in a daily draw, and a winner of that day’s incentive is drawn after 6pm.

We hope that they see the value of having a captive audience, even if it’s just for a few minutes, during as busy a time as Peaks. As for our business owners and frontline sales people, opportunity really does knock when you can not only get a piece of info that might clinch you a sale that day/week/month, but you could also win a fabulous prize! This also reiterates their key messages delivered at conference during our networking sessions.

Katherine Watson – Holiday Village Business Owner – I’ve really enjoyed the TVG January Advent event, it only takes a few minutes a day to pick up some key information from our beloved suppliers, and it’s so thrilling to see people win some amazing prizes!

Heather & Norry Ascroft – Ascroft TravelJanuary can be a hard, dreary month for agents! The Travel Village Group has provided us with a little ‘sunshine’ by way of the January Calendar, and our wonderful suppliers have donated some amazing prizes for us all to win. It’s a fantastic idea, and we are all extremely grateful. You have to not just be ‘In It to Win It’, but ‘In The Know To Win It’.

Louise O-Rourke – Customer Care Team – The advent calendar is a great learning tool. It gets us talking in the back office, as it’s a great way of sharing knowledge. The prizes that can be won are amazing – just like mine – Harvey Nics Champers & Whispering Angel came in great for my 50th celebrations!
