Amanda Taylor has been appointed as our new Business Development Manager for The Holiday Village. After several years of working outside the travel industry, in roles such as Marketing & Brand Consultant at Southern Wines and Head of Travel at Lush Cosmetics, she has returned to the industry she loves.
Having held senior home working titles like the Director of Independent Travel Experts (2011-2013) and former Chair of the Association of Women Travel Executives, she is renowned for her excellence within this sector and we are so pleased to have her at The Holiday Village.
Her past experience doesn’t stop there! She has worked within the Personal Travel Advisors division for Co-operative Travel, Future Travel and had a stint at being a freelance PR Consultant for The Vertical Group. Joining the home working sector back in 1997, for Instant Holidays, she has a wealth of experience and expertise that she’s eager to share.
In her new role here, as Business Development Manager, Amanda will be supporting our new and existing business owners with marketing and networking opportunities. The role has come about as the business has seen unprecedented growth within the past year, and doesn’t plan on slowing.
Managing Director of The Holiday Village, Paula Nuttall, has welcomed Amanda to the team and stated:
“I am delighted to be working with Amanda once again and her extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of our business owners is pivotal to the growth and success of the Holiday Village business.
“The Holiday Village is an integral part of the group and is experiencing unprecedented growth facilitated by personal support, business development and individual entrepreneurialism.
“This role is a commitment to our business owners with Amanda facilitating any request for individual strategic support. Each individual business is different, from location to what they sell, therefore support has to be adapted accordingly.”
Speaking to Amanda about her new position, she said:
“I am thrilled to be working with Paula and Phil at The Holiday Village and their extremely talented business owners. Helping people build their businesses and brands is a passion I have shared for many years and this opportunity affords me the time and support I need to engage with the team.”
Working alongside Amanda is Layna Mcmoran, who joined the Travel Village Group Marketing team in June 2023. She has taken on the role as Marketing Executive and solely supports the home working business owners with marketing materials and weekly catch ups. In her role, she has already brought unique and fresh ideas to the team and business owners, and is a wonderful asset to the Marketing Team as a whole.
When asked about her time at Travel Village Group so far, Layna said:
“I’m truly thrilled to be working amongst some amazing people and working closely with our business owners within the Holiday Village, helping them to achieve their travel career goals.
“Whilst I have previous marketing experience, I am completely new to the travel industry and have loved fully immersing myself into all things travel! The team at Travel Village Group has been a huge support and I am learning so much everyday.
“I have always had a huge passion for travel and deciding to take my marketing career into the travel industry has been the best decision for me. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”
