Following the success of last year’s inaugural Network & Nosh series, Travel Village Group (TVG) has once again taken to the road—bringing business owners, senior leadership, and key trade partners together for another inspiring round of networking events across the UK.
From Leeds to Glasgow, Birmingham to Southampton, the latest Network & Nosh series has been a celebration of connection, collaboration, and continued learning—designed to support Holiday Village business owners with training, product insight, and invaluable peer networking.
Leeds: River Cruise Focus with Scenic and Emerald Cruises
In Leeds, business owners were warmly welcomed by members of the Travel Village Group senior sales team for a relaxed yet informative session kindly sponsored by Scenic and Emerald Cruises. River cruising was the focus of the day, with Lewis Quigley on hand to share insights into the latest offerings and product developments.
The day included a hosted presentation, followed by lunch and a lively discussion on business development, marketing strategies, and training opportunities.
“I really enjoyed today,” said business owner Jo Collett. “It was great to meet other business owners and such a fantastic learning opportunity.”
Birmingham: Riviera Travel Joins the Conversation
In Birmingham, the group gathered at the beautiful Botanist Bar, with a packed agenda led by TVG CEO Phil Nuttall, Business Development Manager Amanda Taylor, Head of River Cruising Lewis Johnston, and Riviera Travel’s Lloyd Morris.
A special moment came as Lewis Johnston shared that TVG had seen a 350% increase in river cruise sales since launching its inaugural River Cruise Academy. Riviera’s Lloyd Morris provided an engaging presentation on their new ships, itineraries, and worldwide touring programme—sparking much excitement for the season ahead.
The day wrapped with a two-course lunch (the hanging kebabs stole the show!) and an hour of relaxed networking over drinks.
Southampton: Cruise Immersion at Carnival House
Further south, TVG’s Group Commercial Manager Richard Cross hosted a hands-on day at Carnival House. Business owners engaged in tailored training from P&O Cruises, Seabourn, Princess Cruises, and Cunard, followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the building.
“It was fantastic to host our business owners for a truly immersive day,” said Richard Cross. “These sessions allow us to learn together, share best practices, and explore the depth of product knowledge our partners have to offer.”
Glasgow: Kuoni at The Botanist
The final stop of this Network & Nosh series brought Paula and Susan to Glasgow, where they met with business owners at the city’s Botanist Bar, joined by Dani Kelly from Kuoni. The setting was perfect for an afternoon of informal conversation and meaningful connection.
Amanda Taylor, Business Development Manager for The Holiday Village, summed up this year’s series of events:
“We host the Network & Nosh events twice a year to bring our business owners together for updates, collaboration, and face-to-face time with both our internal support teams and supplier partners. Working from home can feel isolating—these sessions remind us that we’re all part of a vibrant and supportive community.”
With momentum building and the next River Cruise Academy already in the works, TVG’s Network & Nosh series continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of their business owners across the UK.
