Members of the Travel Village Group’s Senior Leadership Team are thrilled to share their immense gratitude to P&O Cruises for the once-in-a-lifetime invitation to attend the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises at the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank. It was an unforgettable evening celebrating the best in British television, hosted under dazzling sunshine and with an atmosphere buzzing with excitement, glamour, and heartfelt moments.

Representatives from Travel Village Group were honoured to walk the red carpet, rubbing shoulders with some of the UK’s most beloved stars. From iconic childhood favourites to contemporary creators and viral personalities, the evening was a celebration of both nostalgia and the next generation of talent.

Jenny Higgins summed it up perfectly:

Wow, what an experience! As a marketer and avid TikTok user, being in a room with all my favourite influencers was a real pinch-me moment… If you were to tell me five years ago, as I analysed red carpet outfits during my fashion degree, that I too would be walking the red carpet, I’d have never believed you! I had lovely conversations with my favourite artist, Sophie Tea, and with JB from JLS – who I saw live a few years ago! With stars such as Mary Berry, Ruth Jones and David Tennant in attendance, it’s crazy to think that being involved in the travel industry can allow you to cross paths with so many icons. It’s a night I’ll never forget. Thank you, P&O Cruises.

For Lewis Johnston, the red carpet experience brought an unforgettable family moment:

It was a massive honour and privilege to be invited by P&O Cruises to walk the red carpet at the BAFTAs! It was such a surreal experience walking past crowds of fans and paparazzi! Amazing to see some TV royalty up close – my highlight was definitely Ruth Jones and the Gavin & Stacey cast… oh, and Danny Dyer’s mustache! I’m now officially the coolest dad in town after meeting some of the Sidemen!! Cheers P&O Cruises.

Richard Cross reflected on the uniqueness of the opportunity:

We are lucky to get so many opportunities in travel, but this experience is like no other. It’s quite surreal to be walking the red carpet and enjoying the drinks reception with various celebrities, celebrating their successes at this annual event in the TV industry calendar. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening… slightly different from the usual Sunday afternoon – and what weather for the event too. Thank you, P&O Cruises.

And Jess Clayton captured the spirit of the day:

What an experience! In the wonderful world of the travel industry we’re afforded some incredible opportunities; and walking the red carpet at the BAFTAs was certainly never something I imagined I’d get to do. Delighted to mix with up-and-coming talent, plus meet some icons of my past – such as the one and only Chesney Hawkes! Superb day in the fabulous sunshine at an amazing event. Thank you so much for my red carpet moment, P&O Cruises.

We’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners of the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises. The evening was a powerful reminder of how television can spark change, drive awareness, and bring communities together. Highlights included Mr Bates vs The Post Office, which not only won Best Limited Drama but was credited for ITV winning the Special Award for its real-world impact. Ukraine: Enemy in the Woods took home Best Single Documentary, offering a poignant window into life on the frontline. We also celebrated meaningful strides in diversity, with standout wins for Mr Loverman, and the P&O Cruises Memorable Moment award going to Strictly Come Dancing’s inclusive and unforgettable performance by Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell. Bravo to all involved.

From the glamour to the genuine, the 2025 BAFTAs was a spectacular event – and we’re proud to have been part of it thanks to the generosity of P&O Cruises.
