Following the widely discussed industry call to “reset the compass,” Travel Village Group has announced its biennial conference will return in 2026 – with a refreshed approach that puts people, purpose, and partnership at the heart of every decision.
The four-day event will take place at the Grand Palladium Palace in Ibiza from the 6th – 9th May, providing an inspiring backdrop for collaborative growth, digital innovation, and forward-thinking travel leadership. Headed “Building Tomorrow’s Travel Business” Owners Paula & Phil Nuttall believe that there’s never been a more appropriate or defining time since the outset of the internet for travel businesses to embrace AI as an integral part of their future to remain relevant to their guests and supplier partners.”
Phil said;
Earlier this year, I shared my concerns about the unsustainable pace our industry has set for supplier partners with events, awards, conferences etc – especially in the months leading to Christmas. We have reflected on this, and taken the decision to play our part by moving to an early season date. This conference will not be an expectation placed upon our suppliers, but an invitation to partner in a way that is valuable, respectful, and energising.
Paula commented;
We have made some key changes for 2026 which include a Biennial Format to reduce fatigue across the industry and allow us a more meaningful impact. We have implemented a “Respectful Supplier Participation” invitation. Our supplier partners will not be expected to attend as a given. Instead, they will be invited to evaluate the opportunity and invest only if they see clear, mutual value – both financially and relationally.
Phil added;
We feel that holding our conference in May is “Smarter Timing” because it allows ours and our tour operator partners to avoid high-pressure periods, creating space for genuine connection, learning, and rejuvenation. It also allows for business continuity at home because not all colleagues will attend, thus ensuring seamless service for customers remains a top priority.
Phil and Paula are making it clear that this conference isn’t about extravagance. It’s about showing our people and partners that how we do business matters. The values of a family-run company should be felt in every touchpoint – from our customers to our suppliers.
The format of the 2026 conference will evolve significantly. Building on the innovative and relaxed approach we used in Cyprus, we have shifted to a format that places a stronger emphasis on ROI for the business owners and suppliers – we’re excited to see the new direction unfold!
Travel Village Group continues to champion a sustainable and human approach to business. The 2026 conference will reflect that – not just in destination, but in design.
